Church Bay Sunset - Panorama by Photosbykev Church Bay Sunset - Panorama by Photosbykev
original image is made from 6 frames shot in portrait format on an EOS 40D with 17-40mm lens at 40mm. A hard NDx0.6 was used to balance up the exposure.

I added this panorama and a 360 degree panorama of Church bay on Anglesey which taken slightly earlier in the evening on my Photosbykev Website

panaramic images can be taken by even a simple point and shoot digital camera. In fact, they are quite often more suited because of the post processing required :)

Would it be a total insult if I told you I can see like two seems?

no it wouldnt be an insult at all :) I think what you can see, as well as me, is the effect of a polarising filter as the angle to the sun changes ??

Gorgeous - out of curiosity, how big was the resulting file for these panoramas?

most of the panoramas are made from between 8 and 24 images. So for the 24 panorama there are 24 x 60Mb Tif files so thats about 1.5Gb. :) My computer makes funny noises when that is loaded into Photoshop lol

Cheers! wow - thats a serious file size....have run to 900mb or so prior to flattening an image once....but never above the 1gb limit...not sure how happy my computer would be if i tried it....but life is made for challenges...lol!
