1/4, 1, 2, 4, 8 and 15 second exposures @ f16 iso 100
Canon 40D and 10-22mm lens with 2 x 3stop ND filters.

(edit) I replaced the grey sky with a more natural colour from the 1/4sec exposure

why usnign a few exposures instead of one longer? is it about noise?

the area where it was shot is very over shadowed by trees and the high sides of the valley so the light level is pretty low but the exposure on the water was still high. To maximise the exposure range of the image so I could show the detail in the darker regions I shot it with a handful of exposures so I could blend the images

I see, so it\'s some kind of HDR... as if? anyway it brought good and what\'s more NTAURAL-looking results ;-)

Interesting that the reflection is so clear. Looks like a fairly strong flow of water, so even with the long exposures it's cool that it turned out that way. Nice job. :)

Ooo. Another beautiful piece of art, how do you people find such beautiful subjects? Did you use a polarizing filter? If you didn't usuing that could give a better view of underwate :).

The very long exposures would have negated any effect that a polarising filter would give and the sun was pretty much behind me so it would'nt be the optimum position. I used a pair of 3 stop ND filters to give me the increased exposure times
