Wow. That's like the perfect shot of the cream being dropped into the coffee. The drop of cream is almost a perfect sphere! And I like the ripples in the coffee. Great shot. (:

how utterly amazing- the droplet is -perfectly spherical - is it a solid ? I always thought droplets had a tear drop shape

From the images I've taken the shape varies a lot. As the droplet is first formed it is in the shape of a tear drop. As the surface tension effects take over it forms a sphere

I love the marbled effect on the top of the coffee/tea. Have you tried dropping food coloring in water yet? And catching some of the swirling-dye action? :dance:

A Canon 1D MkII N and Canon 100mm macro lens for most of the the droplet shots plus three 580Ex flashguns, two in the foreground and one lighting the background

you're really getting into this aren't you? its like once you start you cant stop :D

they are looking great...

the white drop doesnt even look like liquid, it looks almost...no not almost...just like a marble :O it could even look like the moon...if the background were a darker blue...hehe :P...I love it!
