Same image as previous upload which will be moved to scraps. The branch that was clipping the right hand side was bugging me so I've done some pruning.
A female European Kingfisher (Alcedo atthis)

5/5/07 - accepted by Canon in their May Imagine Gallery [link] :)

Awseome shot dude. Where did you take this. Look at my kingfisher shot [link] no way as good as yours dude. I am new to wildlife. Usually shoot models in studios all day(a different kind of bird!)

Ooohhh, I absoltely adore this. I concider myself extreamly lucky if I ever see a kingsisher. I couldn't dream of making a picture of one. I tried ones, bt it was too far off. :(

Beautiful colors! There's only a few dozen kingfishers in here so I do not see them every day... I wish it wasn't so angry-looking.

I know how elusive kingfishers are, it's a beautiful capture of a bird few of us get to see in the wild apart from maybe a lucky blurry glimpse. Wow!

for personal non-commerical worh then feel free to use my images. Any work uploaded should link to the original file. I'm a Canon user so 1D MkII N and 20D bodies and then a range of lens from 10mm upto 600mm, most of the wildlife images are with the 600mm prime lens

landscape may of worked but it would remove alot of the background which, imo, lifts this image out of the ordinary into the mmm nice category :)
