rather than give up because the weather was absolutely pants this moring I decided to play.

a 1/10second exposure on these Mandarin Ducks/Drakes gave some impression of the rain bucketing down. Full frame image taken with a Canon 600mm prime lens on a !D MkII N camera. Thankfully both are fully weatherproofed

i think its a gorgeous photo, they all look so happy lol. these are my mum's favourate type of duck but ive never seen them in the flesh

You've really captured the atmosphere on this one. The ducks are perfectly clear and very colourful, but the rain is perfectly emphasised by the slightly slower shutter speed. Good thinking and a great shot!
