This year we are celebrating deviantART's 8th Birthday
To celebrate dA's birthday, the APN ( Animals Plants & Nature ) GDs `Photosbykev & !SheTakesPics have joined with the Macro GD `hellfirediva to run a Photography contest based on the Number 8 in Nature.
Usually spiders are the freaks that run on 8 legs, but we want you to be creative when entering this contest and not only think about spiders. There is lots of 8 legged things in nature and also think out of the box.
The contest will commence on August 7th 2008 @ 12:01 AM PST so you have a little bit of time to think about it. Details will be finalised for the launch on the 7th.
Contest Rules
- Only Photography is allowed in this contest. No manipulations. Only minor/ standard edits ( such as level, curve, color adjustments etc. )
- Only photos that would normally belong in the APN and / or Macro > Nature categories are allowed and must comply with the Theme of the contest.
- Photo can be new or old
- One entry per person
- Contest starts August 7th 2008 @ 12:01 AM PST and ends September 8th 11:59pm PST when the category will be closed for judging
- Photo must be submitted or move to: Contests & projects -> contests -> 2008 -> deviantART 8th Birthday -> 8 Legged Freaks
Contest Prizes
1st - $30 devcash + 1 year sub
2nd - $20 devcash + 6 month sub
3rd - $10 devcash + 3 month sub
